Do any yall know where i can find a quality locking carabiner small enough to hook around belt loops? I've looked around on the web and can never really accurately gauge the size of these things.

Thx

You can get steel clips that work much better and last longer than the mini biners.
They dont lock but are easliy secure enough for keys and lights etc.

You can try places like countycomm for stuff like that.

S-biners are pretty good for keys. I just picked up a pack from harborfreight. One large, one medium and one small for 5 bucks (black finish). The large is rated 75 lbs.

I think im just gonna get an s biner from county comm. i would have to see those locking carabiners in person to feel comfortable with the size because they don't give the measurements.

I use a real 5500 lb caribeaner for my keys. It ain't going anywhere, and if I ever really need it, it's there :)

I remember seeing similar ones at Lowe's when I worked there last summer, they run about $20 since they are the real deal.

Hope that helps, J.

I've used one of these snap hooks (316L SS) for over 20 years. SS Clip (mcmaster.com, pn 8907T61 ).

Lighthound has some smaller ones called McGizmos... some are titanium:D

It is probably larger than what you are looking for, but Kershaw makes the non-load bearing Carabiner Tool. I carried one for a couple of years and was quite pleased with it.

Amazon has some Petzl carabiners in sizes small enough to lock on a belt. They list the measurements, so make sure to pay attention to the product description even if it's the same model and color as another you were looking at.

Also check REI.

BTW, great user name!
