locking ring

I thought the newer ones come with that feature now? I would think it would cost you more to write to the company & ask for one so - you may just want to buy a new one - they're inexpensive but decent knives & great slicers.

it's a small part that wouldn't cost barely anything to mail, they might even send it for free. I'd at least try emailing them.

But if I buy a new knife and take the locking ring off for the one I have... I will still have a knife without a locking ring.

I've already e-mailed Opinels US distributor to no avail. I was hoping someone had one from a trashed knife they could sell me.
