Does Vnox still make the SAKs with the locking main blade? I haven't seen them on their website but think it's a good idea.

itactical.com; they've got a couple. funny, i was just about to check all the models to see which had locking blades. got carried away with other features of the knives and forgot to check for locking blades. at least two in the group, including the workchamp and ....

there are more lockers than ever in the Vnox line. Just off the top of my head: Rucksack, Trekker, Trailmaster, parachutist, picnicker, alpineer, atlas, workchamp, forester, fireman, outrider, locksmith, etc etc...

the www.victorinox.com website is terrible and has probably only 10% of what they actually offer on there. Better to go to www.swiss-knife.com and browse there...

Most of these models are listed at ShopLite. I have only purchased from them once though, so I don't know if they actually stock all models. They may list them all, then wait for someone to buy one before placing an order. Also, Smoky Mountain Knife Works lists many locking models.

If you are looking for standard size SAK's look no further than Wenger....they have a variety of models with locking blades and locking screwdrivers.......plus their scissors can't be beat!

The only problem is that there are so many to choose from!

wenger is not worse than vic.....his invention is much clever than vic,i.e.sharp scissor, saftey screwdiver,etc......but vic still use the stupid and easy to break spring....the only thing wenger is worse than vic is the steel quality not gd as vic....and the craftsmanship and finish are still far from vic....

these is just IMHO.....

If you are in the U.S., here's a good source for locking Victorinox SAKs. I've ordered from these guys, and have had good luck with them. As of the time of this post, they offer twenty-two different lockblades.

Which is all the reason anybody would ever need, IMHO, to go with Victorinox (unless, I suppose, your primary consideration is scissors performance).
