Locking systems question

What locking systems exist that allow easy one handed closing without putting a finger in the path of the blade? Surely there's more choices than axis and slipjoint. (I know slipjoint isn't a real lock)

ball bearing/caged ball bearing lock (Spyderco Manix 2)
Hawk lock (Kershaw RAM)
rolling lock (BM Ambush)
nak lock (BM Nagara)

Those are a few I can think of offhand.

Also mid locks and front locks like Spyderco and Al Mar use are easy one handers with a clear blade path.

Arc-loc can be added to the list as well.

Some lock backs depending on leverage and hand&handle size.

OTF's were designed orignally IIRC to be a safe knife, because your hands never have to touch the blade or be in the path

but due to movies and political campaigns against it, it is now considered dangerous as opposed to safe

I would add the slide lock on some Vic 111mm knives and the button lock on the Wenger Ranger series.

How about:
Frame lock - Chris Reeves
Liner lock - Michael Walker
Bolt Lock - Blackie Collins

I don't think the user's safety has anything to do with why some people consider them dangerous.

"Let's ban switchblades...somebody is going to hurt themselves with one of those things!"
