Lockup issues on my OD-1

So I was using my OD-1 this afternoon and it almost closed on my hand  I looked at it more closely, and I found that it was barely locking up. I've had this knife apart for cleaning, so apparently I didn't get something back together quite right. What should I look at?

My first thought is stop-pin. What does the knife look like from the back (or does the OD1 have an internal stop-pin)? Is the stop-pin seated and does the spine-part of the tang make good clean contact with it when the knife is opened?

If so then when I took it apart, I'd spin the stop-pin 180 degrees before re-assembly (provided it's not keyed - and I'm guessing it wouldn't be on the OD1).

The stop pin looks to be be perfectly cylindrical and not keyed (at least on my OD-1). Re-positioning it (or checking to make sure it's completely seated in the handle liners) may help.

Also, check the alignment of the two handle scales. If it was slightly misaligned while re-assembling such that the frame lock side was just a bit higher, then you may need to shift things a little. This might also result in the blade being off-center towards the locking side when closed. To re-align, you can use the same folded paper trick as for centering the blade. Loosen all the handle screws and the pivot screw, wedge some paper on one side between the blade and handle scale, and re-tighten the screws. In your case, wedge the paper on the left side (between the blade and locking side).
