Lockup on CQC-7?

I just received a new CQC-7 two days ago, and the liner lock has already migrated past the center of the blade when locked up. Is this normal? I'm afraid that soon the liner will go all the way to the other side of the blade. This is my first Emerson so im not really sure what to expect. None of my other liner locks even make it to the center of the blade.

Well my CQC7 (as well as my other Emerson's) all lock up in different places, the main thing is, does the lockup hold securely.

The other option is to send it back to Emerson and have them take a look at it. I haven't had any sent back myself, but I have only heard good things about their customer services.
 
Kevin, does it mainly migrate further over when you really "flip" or "thwack" the blade out or also when you simply open it slowly with the thumb notch. I know if I really "pop" mine out there they do seem to really go way off center, but........I have nbo trouble with lock-up.....Seems with Emerson Productions, you still have a tad bit of custom involved and each piece does seem to have a character of its own.
