Lockup Questions on Paramil

Hey yhall, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a sprint run OD green para military in D2 that I have had for a few years. I love the form factor, the ergos, the steel, pretty much everything about this knife, BUT this knife has tons of blade play. Well, not tons but way more than it should and enough that I don't use this knife because the blade play bothers me. All the fasteners are tight and the blade play issue has been there since I bought it, I just haven't really felt like bothering with it until now. My question is, is this something spyderco will fix? And if it is, how would I go about making that happen? Thanks in advance
 
There may be little you can do yourself. If you send it in and it is not repairable you are forced to make a decision of living with it or letting Spyderco likely replace it with a Paramilitary 2. I went this route last year with an original Para and way too much lock play. They sent me a brand spanking new P2 and I was satisfied.
Your knife however cannot simply be replaced unless they have one hiding in Sal's desk!
 
I don't really have any emotional attachment to this knife because it doesn't work correctly. If I were to send it to spyderco, which is what I want to do, what is the protocol on that? I have owned a lot of knives, but never sent one back. Don't want to sound like a dunce, but can someone tell me how exactly to go about sending this knife in? Thanks again
