Somehow I bent the pocket clip on my spyderco so now it has no tension. It actually fell out of my pocket while reaching for my keys. Anyway, I want to take the clip off but I was wondering before I buy a torx bit if there was any loctite or glue on the screws. Wondering how much of a pain it's going to be and if it's just easier to send it in.

A little heat will soften the Loctite up enough that it shouldn't give you any problems.

A lot of people recommend using a soldering iron, and placing it on the head of the screw you want to remove. Wait a bit, then remove the screw.

Should be red loctite from the factory. I've never any problems removing them without heat, but it is probably best to err on the side of caution.

didnt have red on line. A small dab of blue. Nothing my kershaw tool couldn't remove without heat. I've never used heat on any of my knives with loctite.

Never had to use heat on the clip screws for any of my Spydies. I've never had a Mili, though.
