This stuff is amazing. My paramilitary 2 pivot screws were terribly loose and after tightening them, 2-3 flicks of the blade would have the screws loose enough to allow side to side blade play. After researching what the blue stuff that originally came on the screws was, I knew I needed to get that stuff back on the pivot screws to prevent loosening. The original application of Loctite came off long ago. I picked up a small tube of Loctite medium strength (blue) and put a small drop on each screw. I tightened them the way I like and let the knife sit for 24 hrs. The pivot screws are rock solid now! It takes a fair bit of force to turn them now (not a ridiculous amount but you have to turn harder than usual) and regular usage no longer loosens them. Every knife owner should keep a tube handy in their knife maintainance kit! It's invaluable and cheap (~ $5.00) and works fantastic.

I use thread-locker on everything that can use it.
FYI, Loctite 242/243 (blue) loses ~80% of it's strength once you break it loose.
I use Vibratite VC-3 on my knives now, it is an adjustable thread-locker.

This is true, I've got the 242 and I've noticed that after a good turn of any screw with Loctite, it becomes considerably easier to turn them afterwards. The stuff also peels right off the screws, or falls off by itself, as it is a removable coating, which is what happened with my PM2. However after "cracking the seal", I have found that the Loctite provides adequate protection against vibration.
But for sure if I ever find the Vibratite you mention of, I'll be sure to grab it and compare. I'm always looking for the best possible solution to a problem.
