Loctite

CRK sells purple for theirs and I havent had real good luck with that...so I use blue on all my pivots and I have yet to readjust any of them. ZTs/Spydies/Strider/Hoback and CRKs included.

Use blue. If you never want to take it apart, use red. If you REALLY never want to take it apart, use green. (Green is used on the cannon cradle bolts on the M1A2 Abrahms tank)

Blue is medium strength, so I will still be able to change a scale or whatever without to many problems right

For these tiny screws, I use a toothpick to place a tiny drop of blue Loctite on the screws. Works good and they can be removed if you need to.

Blue Loctite can be broken by applying a bit of torque. There are two blue Loctites - 242 and 243. Both have the same locking strength, but the 243 is formulated to work on slightly oily surfaces, whereas the 242 works best with clean surfaces. The 242 Loctite can be found at certain large home improvement / hardware stores. I've only been able to order the 243 online.

I learned about vibratite vc3 from this subforum - and it has been serving me well.
Resists vibrations, and it is reusable so no need to reapply after removing screws for a full cleaning or other maintenance.

I researched this a few months back. As I recall, blue was the "regular" version; red required heat to remove; and purple was a runnier version that you used where you couldn't undo an existing screw from a nut: it would seep around a screw that was already in place.

ZT sends an instruction paper with replacement parts that says to use blue loctite.
I would bet they know what they're talking about.:p

Blue has always worked fine on my scale and clip screws.
