Knife has a nice enough look. Quality materials. A knife can be judged by many standards so hard to give a rely. Is it functional? Is it balanced? Will it hold up? Is it for show and will it get comments for being unique or well put together? Is it a good price as in a good investment? If you made it, was it rewarding and worth the time? All these questions would give a different meaning to ‘do I like the mix of materials’. I personally like its looks. The interesting pattern in the wood seems well selected for the interesting pattern in the steel. The steel end cap is not pretty, but I understand the concept. I like the idea of a knife with a stout enough back to tap tent pegs into the ground, do light hammer slam type work when needed in a outdoor functional knife. If you don’t like it and gave it to me as a gift I’d say “Cool !’ (smile)
