Haven't been around here for a while, so I thought I'd try and compensate that with some pic's of my humble collection of Loewen-Messer.

All of the knives have carbon steel blades (except model 1160RM which sports a stainless steel blade) and jacaranda grips.
All of them have a tight fit and good strong springs. No signs of blade play or any other annoying faults on any of them.

First out the collection as a whole, with a standard SAK as size comparison

My favourites, that are also the ones I tend to use a lot, are the models 9963, 1019 and 1047.
Gotta love them...

Very nice collection of "Löwen-Messer" knives, Karl!

I like their knives a lot and would be really happy to grab one (or some) of their old knives. (before WW2) ;)

Great collection - and true german classics!

Nice to see that a company sticks for far more than 100 years (they're there since 1840) to their patterns!
- No flashy colector knifes
- no stainless
- cheap
... just rugged work knifes!!!

That's why I love them!

I've allways the 9963 with me!

Just to mention, there`s a sale of 9 knives model 1147 (already discontinued)
similar to model 1047 but with steel bolsters at german messerforum.

He charges 25.- Euro/each + shipping (NO it`s not me selling these and NO I do not get any commission :D )
Here`s the sales thread for the german spoken members: http://www.messerforum.net/showthread.php?t=39015

Hopefully that`s ok with the rules here!? Otherwise, moderators/administrators please feel free to delete it!
