It seems to be restricted that way now..

I'm not sure what you're talking about. The forum isn't restricted. I can see it just fine when logged out.
I can see the forum and the threads when logged out. I can't open one of those threads though. Cookies, cache, and browser controlled for.

Ah, now I see. That would be a permissions setting. Probably due to premium content.

my browser is IE and it is up to date. I delete cookies and cache regulary. I can view all other sub forums without logging on. Only Bernard levines forum calls for me to log in to view it. This has just happened recently and I made no changes to anything prior to that. It doesn't really bother me because I don't post a lot. I am a gold member. So why do I have to log on to view bernards forum. What browser are you using.

In IE and Chrome, I can see the forum and thread titles, but in asks to log in upon clicking on any of the threads.
It would be a permissions setting and only Spark could tell us why for sure.

If I remember correctly, it was done to keep Mr. Levine's forum off the search engines and to keep non-registered members from being able to view it. The goal being to make it just that little bit more difficult for scammers and fakers of old knives to further educate themselves on how experts/old hands spot the fakes.
