Logo and HK on a high-quality lobster knife?

I appreciate any help identifying a very high-quality lobster knife. It is a rectangular lobster with mother-of-pearl grips. The only mark is a logo with HK on the main (large) pen blade. The logo is a schematic drawing of a simple boat floating on a wave with the initials HK. One letter is on either side of the boat's mast.

This knife appears old enough to date to the early 20th Century, maybe even earlier; heavy; 3 1/8" long; manicure blade set into back; scissors, large and small pen blades. Rectangular, not so rounded as some lobsters.

Perhaps Heinrich Krieghoff, famous German gun and knife maker. He used an anchor logo with letters on either side for some guns.

Perhaps Hollingsworth Knife Company (logo?).

Thanks for any help.

Sir,

I don't beleive that it is a Hollingsworth as I am very familar with there products. The lobster pattern would be unique in it self to this company let allow handled in Pearl. Your thoughts on the other company perhaps will be more correct. JMO

Thanks, Pa Knives. Do the Hollingsworth Knives have a trademark (logo)?

This is a very nice knife, so I wish I could figure the mark. Not many knives use a nautical logo, and I know Krieghoff used the anchor sometimes; other times he just marked guns with his initials.

I'll try to check it out in Goins tonight once I get home and finish taking the mutts out to the woods.

(Goins = Encylopedia of Cutlery Markings.)

Well,

There is good news...and bad news.

Goins mentions HK (boat). But there is no further information or even a guess about who, what, when, or where.

Sorry.

I can find no listing of any kind for Krieghoff, in Goins' book. Bernard Levine does list Heinrich Krieghoff, Waffenbrik (sold tool knives and arms) C. 1910.

The HK (boat) is a stand alone marking...no reference to anything else. Not even his C (circa) or G (guess).

That said, right above HK (boat) is.....H (crossed anchors) K...but no other information.

You might try this in Bernard's forum.
