Hi Guys,

I thought this would make a lot of you feel better if you are waiting on posted blades...

I am actually not upset about this cause when it arrives it will be awesome. Initially the reference number was not working for over a week so I was thinking I had been duped for a while there. I think their estimated delivery time is a bit out though :)

I'm confused...so it's an international package sent out from Strathroy Ontario Canada? And you're the international recipient?

I guessing the sender used 'International Surface'.

Its from Canada to Australia..

I'm not sure of the specifics of how it was sent. It will get here and it was a sweet deal. Its just funny the estimated delivery was 6-30 days and so far its been 2 months :)

(Even weirder is that with a 30 day estimated delivery, it took just under 30 days to leave canada...) It has been pointed out that I also can't count ;)

So you haven't had an update since Nov. 7th?

It took 2 weeks to leave Canada, which isn't too bad. (Likely Ontario to BC by truck). If the sender used Small Packet International Air instead, it would've been there in a week or two for the same price.

Would the knife be considered prohibited in Australia? If it's taking this long, it might be Christmas mail or customs holding it up.

I don't work at Canada Post or anything btw, I've just had to deal with their BS too many times through this hobby lol

Seems odd to me as well, not that Canada post is the most efficient organization in the world but something doesn't sound right. I have experienced similar situations with international but it typically gets to the border quickly and then the drama begins. My usual experience with Canada post from east to west ground is about 5-7 business days, 2-3 business days if it goes express.

Was a couple of blades, F1 mircata, BK-9 and opineil saw.

All very legal here so no issues there. Maybe the christmas rush. I am not trying to understand why as I am sure it will get here eventually, I just though people here could have a laugh.

Maybe its also therapy so I can get something back from this situation, in the form of entertainment...

I'm not hating on canada post, stuff happens.. It will make me REALLY appreciate them when it arrives..

Crazy, you need to find one of your fellow countrymen coming back from Whistler and have them through it in their luggage.

They do have those weather delay notices for all around the globe so that's a factor as well.

Nowadays, I just grab one of the express options with tracking for shipping because I figure the less time it's in the postal service's hands, the less likely they'll lose it. I do also have less patience waiting for stuff now lol.

I ordered a RMD from Swamp Rat Knives in early October, and I still don't have it here (Canada). Canada Post told me to come and collect it after I pay customs on it, so I go down to collect it, and they attempt to charge me $300. I told them there's no way I'm paying that much money for a knife that costs less than half of $300, and they could eat shit and die after they sort out this mess. Turns out dipshit customs guy decided decimals were a thing of the past, and did not apply to obviously important people such as himself, so he enters the knife price as $15000 or some such (instead of $150.00). Now the knife is going back to customs to get re-evaluated for taxing (where they will probably lose it). They should castrate people for this type of crap.

yeah, they have a tendency of screwing up and prolong delivery time.
Though, honestly, Canadapost really needs to step up their game as well. I don't stand in line for 30 mins cause you take you sweet ass time and pay to hear you b***h at me.
