LOL look at this

Nothing wrong with that knife - it is authentic. It has obviously been sharpened even though he says it has not been.

It's not a stockman, for one.
I don't know cases all tat well, but the tang stamp and shield look suspect to me.

It's not a stockman, it's a tadpole, and it's a 6229 1/2, not a 6254. It's a tested, not an XX. (how'm I doin' so far?) Of course it's not stag, it's jigged bone. The blades are sharpened and the master is short. If he didn't confirm the length at ~2 1/2", I'd say he's got the wrong knife. What a disaster  :jerkit:  :thumbdn:

I guess I have learned never to expect correct descriptions out of the average Ebay seller who happens in to a few old knives. I have seen far worse.

Yes the knife is authentic, and yes we often see knives with the wrong description on ebay. I still can't help finding some amusing. At least it seems to be an honest mistake and not somebody trying to rip buyers off.
Thanks
Gary
