This is my biggest knife to date. And was definitely a lot more work than the Bushcraft knives I usually make. Big knives present new challenges that push me further, which is what I need. The grind is a very slight convex saber grind with a convex micro bevel. I also tried something different with the accent band on this one.

Here are the specs:

Handles - Natural Canvas and Black Linen over Black, White, and Brown G-10 with Black/Mosaic Pins.
OAL - 12.5"
Blade Length - 7"
Blade Thickness - .186"
Blade Steel - O1 @ 58 RC

Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Wow, next evolution! Looks great, the band intersecting the mosaic pin. Very tastefully done.

That is really quite awesome. You want my "suggestion"? Send it to my house immediately :D Very nice, brother...I like your other stuff, but that is pretty special.

Only so much one can do with pics.

But ... that looks clean and nice. Good design, excellent for the intended use. Everything appears very tight with solid tolerances.

Looks like something I'd like to own.

Also, nice sheath.

Thank you everyone!

This particular piece of micarta has a lot more color variation than other pieces I have. I just wish I had more of it.

I am having a really hard time letting this one go. I don't keep many of my knives but this one might stay here, unless bull or Jamie can talk me out of it. :)

That's a great looking knife. I love your leatherwork too.
Darcy:)

A buddy of mine bought this one! I can't wait to see it in person!! What a beauty...

Dang Jared i think your a natural brother. Thats sweet good job on the handle/knife and sheath.

So Jared are you going to make anymore sheath knives like this? Or possibily some smaller bushcraft knives? The one thing i like about this knife or for that matter all your knives thus far, is you go the extra mile with the jimping on the top of the blade and that neat handle work. Your work is definately top notch.
Congrats brother you'll do great with your knife making skills.

Doug

Thanks guys!!

Doug, yes I am still making bushcraft knives and other fixed blades. Just finished another Wasatch Muk today, in fact. I just might get diverted making slip joints more often.
