I never paid much attention to Lone Wolf before but I was offered a great deal on a Black Foot. It has ebano wood scales and S30V steel. The only down side is that it's part serated.
The Blackfoot is an excellent knife! I've been carrying one on and off for the last month and have nothing but good to say about them. The ebano wood seems to be holding up very well with no scratches and the checkering makes for a very positive grip. So far there isn't any wear on the coating, it looks great. The blade geometry cuts excellently while still being thick enough to never have to worry if you're rough with your knives. It also has a very nice thick tip. I really have nothing bad to say about this knife. The thick liner lock hasn't moved over AT ALL since I got it and I've been opening/closing and using it a lot.
The partial serrations that you speak of I'm not however so fond of. I guess if its a super killer deal then it might be worth it but you may just want to spend a few more bucks and get a new plain edge one. I don't see them for sale on the forums very often but they do come up. Maybe try ebay too.
