I am curious if anyone has the Harsey D2 by Lone wolf and is expeiriencing the premature firing I am. The knife is great as an EDC except for it's tendency to fire for virtually no reason at all. The hidden release is indeed hidden, but a good shake seems to fire the knife into full auto mode. Perhaps mine is a bad example but any input would be appreciated.

Yes I know this could easily become a different kind of premature firing thread but please, keep it to knives.

Return it to the place you bought it if possible. If not then send it in with a description of what's happening. There customer service is pretty good. You can call them also and speak to someone.

Do not send an auto back to the factory unless you contact them first. There are specific laws regarding the interstate commerce and shipping of automatic knives. I am not up on them, but I believe you cannot use the USPS and must send documentation that you are military, police officer or one-hand handicapped. The best bet is to return it to the store where you bought it. Authorized dealers can ship things back and forth as part of their business, and if autos are legal in your state you don't need to be military etc.

I bought the knife at a show in Mystic CT. The vendor was a local dealer and he exchanged the knife no questions asked. The second knife has an entirely different feeling from the first one. I am aware of what a pain in the ass knife laws can be. I was hoping to have the dealer send it back but he decided to make it good on his own. Incidently, this is the second lone wolf auto I've had problems with. Also, the Mystic show was very well done and from what I saw well attended.

Haven't been up there for a show yet. I'm looking forward to the next CT shows. Any idea whats coming up? Where?

I'm not sure what coming up next. This show was run by NCCA and I gather moved from it's former location in Stamford. The vendors said all they lost was the New Yorkers who would go to the show there because it was closer to them. The dealer I mentioned is in Warwick and his prices appear to be excellent. The D2 knife I bought was a good 60 dollars under what I've seen it for online. I ended up dismantling the second one to bend the liner lock back so I don't need a screwdriver to close it. I'm sort of OCD myself so tinkering doesn't bother me. Here the sight for NCCA.
