Just received the Diablo DA today. I am writing my first review due to reading about a member on another forums misfortune when getting his. His review was read by me after I had placed my order and I was quite concerned with the quality of this knife. Others on this forum helped me decide on this knife. Thanks. The following is my inspection comments and review on the knife.
1. Blade was perfectly centered.
2. Scales sat flush with the liners.
3. No sharp edges on the liners.
4. No flaws on the knife's blade or elsewhere.
5. Solid lockup
6. Ease of opening with the thumbstuds.
7. Blade was very sharp and a top quality steel.
CPM-S30V with a flat grind
8. Opens very fast with a solid sound
9. Auto opening was easier then I thought.
The knife is listed as having a 3.3 inch blade. I found the blade length to be 3.187 inches from the scale to the tip of the knife and having a 3 inch sharpened edge. The scales have a good grip and is comfortable in the hand. The liner lock sit out past the liner, which makes it easier for me to close, but might irritate your finger after using for an extended period of time in the opened position. The pocket clip makes it a tip down carry only and is too tight for me in the pocket. It will soon wear away the top of the pocket. This will need some bending to make for a better fit in my opinion. One of its best attributes is that it is made in the USA. I am quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend this knife to others.
I hope you found this review helpful.
