I have posted before asking for recommendations for a good sea knife. My wife was going sailing in a pacific crossing and needed a knife that she could manage one handed. Because I love her more than my knife, I gave her the Lone Wolf Harsey D2 to use on the trip. During the race, some ocean debris got caught on the prop and was slowing them down. My knife was the sharpest on the boat so they used it to remove the debris from the prop and continued on the race. The knife began to show signs of rust the next day. I am concerned with the internal mechanisms of the knife and do not know where to send it for repair, cleaning, and maintenance. Any suggestions? I see Lone Wolf was purchased by Benchmade. Can I trust them to help me?

Benchmade now does all of Lone Wolf's warranty service. I would recommend calling the service department at Benchmade and talk to one of them.

I just got off the phone with Benchmade. They will disassemble the knife, clean and polish all parts, and return to me for $5.00. I am sending it in. Thanks.
