Have always been after one of these, and just recently got one - mint/boxed (converting currencies, for $300)

They're like rocking-horse poo in UK/EU, so am asking you knifey folk across the pond, as I'm sure that's where most of 'em live

(...........and damn you, BM, for strangling the life out of one of the best wee knife manufacturers going........... )

Here, lined up against a standard d-p Loveless hunter and a 3" UK-legal slippie

Ok, it may not be the best Guild quality, but for a robust working folder, this baby is very good indeed.

Blade flips open real smooth, and truly centred - not a wibble or a wobble when fully open, rock-solid lock-up too.

I got plenty o' fixed blades / smaller Doziers on horizontal sheaths etc etc............so when I go into the woods/camping/whatever - I have more than enough to cater for just about any need.

So, here's the thing - who uses one and how do you use it....? I'd love to know.

.........is it because it has almost fixed blade qualities but can be discreet in a sheath. Or, what..........?

- please share your experiences guys :)

C'mon fellas..........just on 200 posts and no-one use a T3..........??

- really!!

So, no-one uses a T3..........at all.......??

Kinda a old knife and a bit of a collectors item now, I doubt many still carry one considering its size and current market options.

I found 2 of the original T3's when they still had the micarta handles. I carried one and put the other in the big box o'knives. I sold the one I carried a couple years ago. I would put the T3 right up there with the toughest folders made. I kinda regret selling the user.

I have an original micarta handled first year T3, and a T1. They both get carried a lot, but when I do so the T1 gets more use than the T3. The T3 has been lightly resharpened due to such use.

Yeah, this is what I carry daily. Criticize me if you will. Sometimes the Lone Wolf's get replaced with a leftie/rightie Spyderco military combo.

I keep mine in the safe and pull it out occassionally to look at it and gloat....shes' s a beautiful beast!

It is one tough knife. Blade is thick, lock bar is thick, clip is thick. Clip is definitely one of those that you will not bend if it snags on something. But when clipped to your pocket, it certainly is tough getting your hand in-and-out to retrieve things lying at the bottom. I have the factory sheath that I ordered when I ordered the knife as well. Just do not like carrying a knife sheathed.

I own a T2 Ranger and a T3 (spear point). I have carried the T3 a dozen or so times, but it is impractical as a EDC knife. I do carry the T2 quite often now. It is still big for an EDC pocket knife, but doesn't get the same wide eyed look from strangers if you actually pull it out and use it for something. I do like the sheath for the T3 so I have attached it to the front of my bug out bag. If I had to fight with a folder it would be my number one choice (out of what I own).

You aren't seeing people coming out of the woodwork about using it because it is a collectors item, it is expensive as hell, and if you are using it on a regular basis the police are probably looking for you. I consider it to be a great combat knife, but wouldn't use it for much else. I certainly wouldn't mess with the condition by doing outdoor tasks with it (although in an emergency all bets are off).
