Lone Wolf Harsey T3 Question

I just bought a Lone Wolf T3 with micarta scales, and I've got a couple questions. I have owned a few Lone Wolf knives before, but not the T3. Thought I should grab one while they were still floating around. This one was at an authorized dealer, but was tagged as "mint condition, but no box or sheath." I noticed a couple things when it arrived. First, the blade barely fits between the liners. The blade actually rubs against the lock side, and I don't think there is room on the other side to adjust for this. Secondly, it has a rolling lock/safety of some kind that can prevent the liner lock from disengaging. Looking online at pictures of other T3's, I don't see any others with this added. Here are some pictures:

If anyone can give me any information about this particular model, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Wes, that early T3 of yours has what is called a LAWKS (Lake & Walker Safety System) which is supposed to be a fail safe locking system on top of the liner lock.
Very few of those T3s were made.
I have a few of the later models, both wit Ti and SS liners, but none has that blade rubbing against the liners problem, they probably put wider spacers.

Hello wrt, measuring from the back of the knife, the blade channel is .236" up around the pivot area and about .226" at the other end on mine, hope this helps.

... maybe that's how the early ones were, I heard they had F+F problems so maybe this is an example, possibly made by a good bladesmith but with design and commercial issues beyond his direct control, I don't want to chop down the wrong person. Hopefully another will chime in soon and make the situation a bit more clear....if it bothered me I'd return it. Mind over matter.

Thanks all. I like the knife, so I think I'll try talking to Lone Wolf & see if I can send it in to get these issues addressed.

This is one of my first "better" knives, I just received in trade. I am not much into knives, and its pretty darn big compared to what I usually care. But none the less I thought it was a very nice knife so I have it, sitting new for atleast 6 months , maybe almost year. Maybe someday I ll carry it. But for now, it just sits.

I ll have to look at mine and see if it has the same features as yours or not.
