Is the LV-03 in the City knife any good, where can I compare it with?

I'm thinking of getting one for office days. Can anyone recommand this knife for light every day use, is it small and light enough to carry around in you pocket?

Thanks!

I have one and love it. I always carry mine as a "sheeple" friendly light duty cutter and it's been perfect in that role. The steel seems great for the role it's ask to play. It takes a hair popping edge and does a good job of holding it. You can even strop it on a pant leg to bring it back to razor sharp. I love the wharnclif design for daily use as the long flat edge lends itself to edc tasks well. The fit and finish on mine is superb. I normally wear jeans or cargo pants and carry mine in my pocket always. I would guess-timate it weighs 3-3.5 oz so it isn't too heavy. Even comes with a leather pocket sheath. I bought the green micarta handled version but it comes in a wide variety of handle materials.

Here's a couple of pics for reference. Hope this helps you decide.

Yeah, green micarta, my foot - my Classic Utility FB is brown too.
A beauty and safe queen, I'm afraid, I love it for being a Loveless but have other knives for my different tasks, including sheeple-friendly office use (e.g. Splinter, Rainbow Leek, Mnandi, Laguiole). So I can't say much about the steel.
If I liked Warnies and was more classically-minded, this LW gent folder would be a favorite of mine too.

Think about getting yourself a Fallkniven U2. It's small and fits in your watch pocket and it is sharper then hell and keeps the edge since it is Rc 64. The steel is called "Laminated Super Gold Powder Stainless". I have 2 of them and they really hold a sharp edge and won't scare anybody but a school teacher(zero tolenence ya know).

I'd recommend it highly. It is a very functional and good looking knife. It has a lot of handmade touches. It has integral bolsters, almost unheard of in a production knife. Unlike most production knives and many custom knives, the micarta is rounded to fit your hand, the scales are not just a flat slab. The steel is unique to this model. I have one and it keeps a great edge. It doesn't stain or rust, hasn't chipped or rolled even on staples. From my exprerience, it's really hard and it barely responds to a sharpmaker, but then it hardly ever needs to be sharpened since it holds a good edge. Mr. Physics must have really dirty jeans to be able to hone the edge on his pants :)

Mine is green micarta, not brown. You can get them with different handle materials now. Most people like it, some have reported fit and finish problems. I have one friend who thinks it's ugly, but what do they know? I think it's much more comfortable blade than the U2 and much prettier too.

Anyway, how can any true knifeknut pass-up a Loveless designed slipjoint that can fit in your pocket and costs $75?

I recently got one with snakewood scales under $100 via eB.... and I am so satisfied as Physics and brownshoe described it . It lies so good in my medium hand and I even can open it with one hand - the half-stop helps very much for opening and closing with one hand. The modified wharncliffe is so good to use, specially for whittling. I don't know how long it will be sharp, but let's see. And it is so proper worked - it nearly looks like a handmade ;) .
You can get them also with buffalo horn, Turquoise Eagle Feather , Bloody Basin Jasper , Mother of Pearl + Apache Gold, Ivory(A.G.Russel) - they all look very pretty.
