Lone Wolf T-2 or Spyderco Military?

Okay fellas, I know I know....another vs thread in general :o

I have a dilemma, I'm torn between the Lone Wolf T-2 and my newer Spyderco Military. I love the millie, it's the all around baddessofasseus knife with the spyder hole that does 101 things all on it's own

On the other hand, I have my Lone Wolf T-2 which is very nice, same great blade steel, S30V, and false edged with a nice combo edge leaving plenty of plain edge for slices and just enough serrations to get the job done.

Both are liner locks, both cost about the same amount, same S30V steel, almost identical blade length, and the grips on the two are both excellent. I just don't know what to do, and carrying two knives gets annoying to me :D

Any opinions from fellow users? Preferences of why one over the other? Thanks in advance, J.

edit: I use mine for standard edc (paper, nails, tape, cardboard once in a while, string) and for outdoor uses (ferro rod, tinder, whittling, fishing, etc...)

Pics of the two side by side:

Good time for post # 40,000. :)

Keep the Military. Slimmer, carries better, and is tougher than it looks. I may not carry mine every day, but I always know where I put it down last. I don't even carry my BG-42/carbon fiber Military, the S30V is so effective.

The T-2 is just lumpy by comparison.

Saving this one

Thanks for the input Esav :) as well as # 40,000, congradulations :D

Millie all the way. Why? You can't use a thumbstud as a short barrel blowgun :D:D:D:D

Edited to add: The millie would still win without blowgun feature, thats jsut the reason i chose to state.

I too love my millie, it has perfect flow. The way it sits in the pocket the ease at which it can be removed and opened and its awsome cutting power make it perfect in my book. I don't have any lone wolf knives though I have handled them in the store, they just don't do it for me.

Sadly it does not get 100% pocket time though, I have a few very nices pieces that I cannot resist carrying. My BM 760 has been getting the most time these days but the millie still finds its way into the back pocket to ride shotgun sometimes.

It total I rotate through about 5 or 6 different knives with the millie (S90V) and BM 760 being the most carried, too many good knives and not enough time to just choose one. :D

the t2 is a pretty nice knife. hard to choose.

is it true the lone wolf t2 is going to be discontinued? if it is, it may not be around much longer, while im sure the military will be around for a while.

Keep in mind that all the Harsey line has been discontinued by Lone Wolf about a year ago, so it is now a collectible. Pity it is a CE.

Actually it's 93 uses so far :P
I have a military in the same colour combo on it's way to spyderco for repair and just found out how much I miss it after seeing that picture :(

No, we made 101. :D

Military, is there even a competition? It's thin and light, fast to open, rides great in your pocket, and the tip is perfect for those small detail cuts you always end up having to make.

Nothing beats a Millie in the size/weight ratio category.

I don't have a T-2, but from what I've heard its a very tough knife.

Rotation...may be your answer:thumbup:

BTW- that blade looks OD(dark green) in that pic....I know its black. but a Digi with OD would look awesome!

I have the D2 Harsey Auto version and the Millie. I think they are both in the Top 10 of knives I've ever owned with the Millie being closer to #1 and the Lone Wolf D2 Harsey being closer to #10. Millie gets the nod for being a world class slicer in an easy to carry and handle frame. The Lone Wolf is more of a brute without the over-the-top nature of Strider, etc.
