Hey guys, a little advice needed, been wanting to look at one of these in person (camo), no luck yet. Can anyone tell me what they think of the T-2 compared to the larger model ? I read several threads around about some of the earlier larger models, just wondered if anyone had had a chance to carry, use or evaluate the T-2 model (lock up ect.), thanks for your help.

I absolutely positively LOVE mine- It's the first knife in alot of years that's completely filled my wish list- App. four inch drop point blade, flat grind, quality steel, tight lock up, natural handle material, good fit and finish, fits my hand spectacularly, light, easy to carry, etc. I got it in early December, and it never leaves my reach even now unless I'm in the shower. It's the best all arounder I think I've ever owned. (hard for me to believe it's referred to as "tactical" :D

Lots of different opinions on 'em, but mine was worth every nickel I paid for it. (at or near full MSRP...what can I say? It was love at first sight)

I second every words RWS says.

I've been carried a Starmate for so long as an EDC, but now it's this T2.
:)

Thanks a bunch guys, Super nice pics and thanks for posting that link. Yes, I will for sure locate one to handle, it is an awsome looking knife. I have read a few negative threads, and a few positive threads. So I will have to find one to see if it looks and feels as good as you all describe, thanks.

These are really attractive knives. They feel very nice in the hand.
OMG, the larger ones are SO HUGE!!!! I was holding two of them at once and I was seriously freaking out at how large they both were. I stuck one in each pocket of my jeans and started to lose feeling in my lower parts.
Big Beefy Knife.

Hiya' Robbie. I had one of the early micarta handled versions before the T-2's ever came out. Based on my expierences with it I swore "never again"! Like you I've read good and bad reports. The good reports seem to be very good, while the bad reports seem to shift between slight problems to total crap. Even though I like those MEGA folders I just couldn't get into the Harsey Tactical. The T-2 appears to be a bit more refined and with the different handle woods they offer I think the knife looks great. I could see another shot at one of the T-2's with walnut!!

I wanted the tactical ranger, but the forum reviews were real negative... then again, it won the Field and Stream knife of the year, something like that. I finally decided to chance it and should have my ranger by week's end. I'll let y'all know if its a good one...

I just love 'em big!

If only the full sized ranger had either micarta or the great looking wood handles... oh well...

Thanks a bunch guys, still trying to decide............maybe, maybe not  it is a good looking knife.

Just don't post any more pics of this beast and I will be O.K.

P.S. Hi Art, talk me out of this ?

I guess I should have mentioned the silky smooth opening on mine, and how incredibly comfortable and secure the handle is, even for my XL forepaws. I'm constantly marvelling how mine can do everything from whittling, to meat and veggie cutting with such ease. Even the dreaded five pound block of Costco cheddar cheese feels like cutting warm butter.

And the maintenance? wow! just a few hits every few weeks keeps it hair popping sharp. And I also neglected to mention the broad, sturdy pocket clip, and how it carries so perfectly...not too high, not too low...just the perfect level..... :D :D

Could it be a QC problem?
Mine one is perfect. . . :)

Hi Robbie.....thought I would post up a picture of the cocobolo handled T2, couldn't find a pic of the T2 with the French walnut handles...........

Art, thanks a bunch, you may have just pushed me over the edge :D man that is a sweet looking blade. I just hope I can handle one soon.
