Original T3 with Ti liners is discontinued but is an awsome knive. One of Lone Wolf's earlier QUALITY productions. I have the T2 with Ti liners. I made the mistake of buying the T1 in CF but it was a piece of junk.

Don't know if they did a second gen with SS liners, but I would look for a T3 with Ti liners.

There were some T3's with SS liners, my buddy has 1, what's the advantage of Ti anyway?

All the Harsey line has been discontinued by Lone Wolf quite some time ago.
Here is Bill Harsey talking about that: http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20776

Your best bet is to find some old stock, but the T3 is sold out almost everywhere. So eBay may be your best bet to find one.

Or you may like the Harsey-designed Beretta, it is slightly bigger than the T2 and is very well finished (and it is on sale by Beretta USA).

As for the T3 liners, the early ones were made of titanium, then they switched to SS, the main difference being the weight. As a rule of thumb, if there is T3 written on the blade, it is a newer model and most likely to be SS:

Ti liners are lighter and not as stiff as SS

I believe after the Ti liner T3 and T2 quality started going south. If you are looking for one, try and find a T3 with Ti.

I have a titanium liner T3 with the "black" micarta scales.
I say "black" because they appear to be more gray than black.

I also have a ss lined, G-10 handled T1, the sheeple knife.

Love that T3.

I have one of the T3 Rangers. Great knives, as to quality problems I haven't had any concerns show up with mine. I just wish I had bought two instead of one.

I would say the only annoying defect with the Lone Wolf Harsey line is the protruding screws inside the liners. I never found out whether they thought those ugly screws were better off left like that or whether they saved money by not adjusting them to fit inside those liners.
Anyway, I have trimmed those screws on all my LW Harseys:

I have a T2 Cocabolo and its a great knife. My T3 doesnt see as much carry but its a nice knife as well. I think the Ti Liners are nice and they do reduce weight. My Lonewolf T line has been good to me. The S30V steel holds a good edge and the flat ground blade makes a great slicer. The T2 has been a nice EDC for me. I originally sold my first one and missed it so much I bought another.

magnet test, Ti won't attract.

FYI, some stainless steels won't, either. I found that out the hard way a while back. (SS screws destroyed a vacuum cleaner, after I thought I had gotten them all up with a magnet-sweeper. :( )

I guess it depends on the ferro content of the alloy.

thx - cpr

Ok, but bottom line if you try a magnet on a Lone Wolf liner it will tell you if it is SS or not.
