 Anyone have any lone Wolf knives? Need the rundown on them. Quality and value.

Try doing a search for Lone Wolf knives. There's been quite a few threads about numerous models. Can't go wrong with a T2.

I posted this in a thread titled "Least Favorite Knife You Own":

A Lone Wolf Lobo auto.

Excellent materials, brilliant design by Butch Vallotton, horrible execution.

The blade finish was crappy, the scales didn't match the liners, the tension on the hidden scale release was so light that it would open in my pocket, and, if all that wasn't bad enough, the spring overrode the liner lock, causing the lock to fail to engage.

Customer "service" was essentially non-existant.

First, and last, Lone Wolf product I'll ever buy.

I've had a T2, really nice, and SHARP! Also a Double Duty, which also had the spring problem, they didn't cut the blade right, and the knife wouldn't close enough to engage the ball detent. I sent it in and they even called me at home to apologize! I had it back in 2 days shipped! The fastest warranty service ever!
True it maybe shouldn't have gone out like that, but I was impressed with the customer service. P.S. I was not charged for the return shipping either.

I can only hope your experience is more typical for them than mine. But one personal experience being screwed by a company is enough to make me buy elsewhere.

I have a (2) T1 Harsey's and have had no problems. I carry the Carbon Fiber model far more but only because I am {CF} fan.

I have an older T2 model when they still had the Ti liners, now stainless. I really like mine, the fit and finish on it is very good, the blade is sharp and seems to hold up well under use. The blade is S30V and the Liners are Ti, and I got it for around a $100 on ebay. All in all a very good deal.

I disagree with the negative posters. I think they are great knives. I had a problem and got great customer service. The "double action" I would not recommend but all other knives are great. I have a T2 and have worked the heck out of it. Stays sharp forever and still locks up tight as a drum.

Do youself a favor and read the following thread. It would be too bad to not experience one of the best folders out there just because a couple of people had a bad experience. You don't think people haven't have bad experiences with Spyderdo and Benchmade? You bet they have.

I've also had a great experience with their customer service. A T1 Harsey was one of the knives destroyed by a 'sharpening service' i paid for. I emailed Lone Wolf, and they offered to replace the blade completely. It took them a little while to do, but as they explained I was waiting for the next batch of T1 blades to run.

When it arrived, it was good as new. Overall, I'm happy with the knife. It's sturdy, the blade shape is well-designed, and the liner lock is thick enough to almost make it feel as safe as an axis lock.

Almost :)

I have a Loveless City Knife - great piece , nice fit and finish , also a couple of Paul knives - again excellent products . I'm pretty happy with the stuff I've seen .
