Hadn't bought a knife in a while and one came through for a sheath which I fancied a bit.
Ordered it, here are two rather quick shots here at my computer desk
with the over head lamp and the 28-135 IS lens, hand held, not too bad, a
friend wanted to see what the knife looked like so was prompted to get a
couple shots for him. Have a small block behind the knife so the knife is
resting back at an angle.

The wood is Cocobolo hard wood, very lovely, the blade is about 4" long,
so it's a big knife! but not too heavy, the blade is also made of premium
S30V steel, I've not owned a sharper knife!!! The notches you see are
gripping notches, made wider and deeper than most, so they provide
some traction even if you are wearing gloves, nice knife!

The grind on this blade is very nice, full flat grind down to a minimal bevel that is about convex, so the blade push cuts so very easy!

Great pics and review, G2

MORE, MORE!!!

Tom

Hehe, well I've been away from knives for a while, getting back into
photography a little bit more, those were taken, like I say just quick shots
at the computer desk with my Canon EOS 20D digital camera.

On getting the knife, I had several 'Friends' ;) email and tell me to let them
know before I sell it, everyone knows me too well it seems! lol Well I did
email a friend out west that I was going to sell it, but this morning I came
to my senses and decided to keep it, it is a very nice knife, only nit pic I
could find would be when setting the knife down, open on the table the
blade contacts before the guard, small nitpic and not really a problem as
I don't count on a knife setting down like that anyways.
Thanks Tom, if you've not handled one of these, it's worth a grip!
Got mine from New Graham Knives, they have many many nice toys there
and also mail out the bandaids along with the knives, luckily haven't had
to utilize those just yet!

Gary -

How well does that knife open with the thumbstud? From your pictures, it looks like there is not a whole lotta' stud to push off with...

Welcome back ;)

Matthew

Thanks Matthew, it opens well, it does have a solid detent too which is secure but not too hard to over come. The thumbstud is rounded so there is no abrasion to the skin as other sharper thumbstuds can be. I've not tried with gloves on, so that may be an issue in colder weather or more clandestine actions. ;)

Thanks Nitin! the digital world is quite a wonder, I'm having trouble finding just the right lenses, had to return two copies of a rather expensive Canon wide angle zoom, neither of them worked properly, very depressing!
