A big one this time. The blade is forged 80CRV2, hand finished and etched; 12” long, about ¼” thick, and 1 ¾” wide. The handle is contoured black linen micarta, and the guard and pin are both 416 stainless. OAL is 17 5/8”. Weight is 473g.

Thanks for looking!

I'm impressed with the crisp edges and clean finish. Not easy.

Great lookin' knife, Will! The lines are very attractive. The only thing I'd like different is a bit more swell at the back of the handle. Wider at the back...say 1 1/4? It creates a wedge say that when you swing it, it gets tighter in the hand. Hope that makes sense...love your work, btw!

The fit on that thing is so perfect you'd think the Mayans built it. Love it.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Thanks Ben, and thank you for the advice! Here are some photos of the butt of the handle:

I've got a bit of a wedge thing going on, and it does feel secure in my hand (without feeling restrictive) , but another 1/8" or so of butt swelling wouldn't hurt at all.

Those photos show it better. Nicely done! It's a fine point...but your work is so good we can discuss these finer points.

Very nice and clean, I am due to make a trip down your way soon. We'll have to get together and talk knives again. I would love to handle this one.

Just what I have come to expect from you.
Super clean work and pleasing lines on a big tough looking knife.
