This one lists tonight (8/16/09 - 8/23/09) on ebay.
I call this a Fighting Bowie / Combat Knife.
It's 18" O.A. The blade is 1095 spring steel 13" X 1.3/4" X 1/4" thick.
The scales are Curly Maple. The side pieces at the guard, bolsters
and pommel are 1018 carbon steel welded to the full tang.
The top edge is 10.3/8" long. ( I know, more than 8" is too long. But it's for fighting around a corner :p)
Thanks for looking,
Mike

I like it except for the guard. It's not proportional.
Thanks for the input. I've heard for's and against's on this type of guard.
My thought was to go for an overkill on hand protection.
I certainly welcome suggestions on the subject.
How much hand protection is needed ?
Is the guard too long ? Too wide ? etc.
Looks vs. function. Which way should I go ?
I look forward to some help.
Mike
