Let's see some knives that are long gone ladies and gents. Ones that you let slip through your fingers, that you think on from time to time.

Two that I miss are a Queen trapper and gunstock. The trapper had bone scales and was sharpened by Scott Gossman. The person I traded it to had used it on some bbq at a family function last I heard, several years ago. The other one, I just remember the nice handle and the cocobolo scales.

This Northfield 72 has some gorgeous cocobolo, but I was moving toward smaller knives and sold it. I think I saw it change hands again here on BF not too long ago.

Also sold my Tidioute White Owl, and now I am wanting another ebony handled knife (preferably much older than this one). No way I am ever choosing to part with the Larrivée guitar.

I was sent a Queen Doctor's knife with a spatula in white carved bone

It was not what I had ordered and sent it back..............................
Dumb dumb dumb

Why why why???

The only ones I regret was a stag Case Peanut, and a Case amber bone 18 CV with punch(I know they started making them again)! I made another drug deal with my nephew and I'm getting my 47 stag Stockman back at Christmas, but I had to give up my humpback whittler!

This was the only Henckels sodbuster that I have ever seen. Not only that, but it was a lockback. And the scales were better looking than what you usually find in soddies, with figure that was more akin to cocobolo than walnut.

I have passed on (2) GEC Stag Serpentine Jacks and I'm not sure I'll have the willpower (or opportunity) to do the same again. Kicked myself both times.

I let a GEC #73 slip through my fingers a while back. The grizzly cut bone was the most beautiful I had ever seen, but I never got it as a 'it won't be going anywhere anytime soon' sort of thing...big mistake!

Heck, I let a #72 in the most beautiful stag with a clip point slip through my fingers too.
Go figure, I let the most beautiful examples of these materials slip away :(

Dark times my friends, dark times...

There are some that I really miss. These come to mind.....

Bose wharny I sold at Blade a few years back

My greatgrandfather's tiny two-bladed synthetic pearl handled Case I lost after only three days.

Next can we talk about all my ex's I can't sleep with anymore? ;)

Never should have let this Dowell go...can't say that about the ex's though...

I traded these 3 mint Imperial Tu-tones for a Bulldog Proto. IMO, the other guy made out better in the trade.
