Long handle for GB mini?

I've had a GB mini for a few years and I love it. I think it would be perfect if it had a longer handle, maybe as long as 18" or so. Is there a Gransfors replacement handle for another model that would be worth trying to fit to the mini, or would it be so far off in dimensions that I might as well make a new handle from scratch?

Thanks!

Finding a "factory" made handle that long with that small of an eye will be hard to find. Probably on your own to make one to be what you want.

you just have to buy a handle and shape it to fit the eye. You would have to do this with any new axe handle. Just take the head with you to the hardware store and pick a handle that has enough wood to fill the eye. Then you shave it down till you get a perfect fit. Even if you bought a new GB handle for the same model it was replacing you would want to fine tune the fit. Tool handles are not 'drop in' parts!

I've thought about this too. If you wanna spend the cash($200+) you could have Vector001 put a synthetic handle on it. Barring that I would try for a replacement hammer haft. They seem to have a similar sized eye.
