So I finally assembled that huge karambit blade, and used the cana fistula burl I have shown in another thread, and I am very pleased with the results! All that is left to do in it now is to resin soak the handle, but that I´ll do on Monday, as there are too many beer cans waiting for me today
Making a karambit was something new to me and it was a very interesting project. From its conception to the end result, it went through some major modifications and end up a very quick, well balanced knife, regardless of its size (7 3/4" long blade, 12" long overall) that can either be held with the finger inside the hole or as a standard knife. This blade was also my first in 01 steel.
Let me know what you think.

Dl: that is a problem you have with anything cord wrapped, but it is still better to have something nice to show through the cord windows, anyway :)
IG: For a moment, I almost ground thw top of it. That would make it a Portuguese karambit, to go with the Portuguese Khukuri, I think...:D

very nice, Ivan. I like the long gentle arc.
