Here is a recent pix of some long knives that are waiting for scabbards and some rework. See the six katanas? Haste makes waste. I said that in some other thread today. I told the kamis to wait for final handle configuration and make blade only. You see what they did so now they get to disassemble the katanas, put on the tsuba, and rehandle according to the specs I sent.

I see 10 king kobras and 3 tulwars for those waiting. The sarkis are just getting started on the scabbards for these so maybe we will see them in two or three weeks.

Stay tuned.

Update your website photo, Bill.

These look to be wood handled, and the website shows brass handled.

Anything you can tell us about them? Length; weight; single, bastard, or two-hand handle; etc.? Price?

And I still think a saber or whatever the shape Tom Holt is obsessed with shaped KK has possibilities.

I wish I could find the time to update the website, Rusty. My problem is most of these long knives are spoken for and I don't take the time to get pix and do the spec sheet on them. Maybe I'll just have to take the time.

Don't worry Rusty, if Uncle Bill doesn't post specs I will.

No worries, just a lot of anticipation.

Especially I want to know if the tarwars have fully enclosed tangs you can easily shape all the way around to reduce their circumference for my small hands or if they are slab handled panna butta or chiruwa tangs I'll have to file the metal down on also.

My kora is like 5" or 5 1/2" metal handled but stick tanged. One of these days must have it unsoldered and the stick tang stretched an inch and a longer wood handle of smaller diameter epoxied on, or even a metal handle that's smaller and wrap it ( as it is now ) with leather lacing after re soldering the disks front and back back on.

Tarwars should be the way you want them, Rusty. I certainly wish some of them would arrive here. I have a lot of customers who have more khukuris than I have in inventory.

Khukuri FAQ

A scene that just makes me drool.

And a nightmare came to me also, where I walk in this room, suddenly I stumble, fall down into the knives... Since then I make every step more carefully here 5,000miles away from there. Silly? Silly! Anyways it's a good thing taking care of your steps.
