Long Live the Case Pass Around Box - Next Round!

Rehash of the Rules:

I will draw a winner and send the box to them.
They will choose two, three, or however many knives.
They will replace the knives with some of their own (Case Knives Only).
They will hold their own drawing and pass the box on to the next person.

Porch Members Only!
Must have over 50 posts in the Traditional Knife Forum.
Must be a paying member of Bladeforums.
These rules must follow the box every time or John will call foul.

By default, I am keeping in the running those that were in the last drawing. If you'd like to be added to the list, simply say "I'm in!" Likewise, if you are on the list and you do not want to be there, just let me know.

The tracking number provided by JoeGoblyn JoeGoblyn indicated the box would be here today (Saturday), but I got a nice surprise when it showed up a day early.

Here are the knives I had to choose from. A very cool collection!

When I was looking at the pics from the last thread, I figured I would probably go for the Canoe and maybe the black Tribal Lock. After looking over the knives for a while last night I decided on these 3 instead.

1. Medium Jack. I don't tend to gravitate towards black knives but I like Jacks and this one is pretty cool.

2. Copperlock. Honestly, I'm not in love with the color of this knife, but I'm a sucker for wharncliffe blades and I think I can dye the lighter parts to a nicer blue.

3. 6308 Whittler. Just a cool older pattern. I'm a big fan of whittlers.

1. Buffalo Horn Sodbuster Jr.

2. Navy Blue bone Canoe

3. Smooth Chestnut Bone Medium Stockman

I see the Horse Trapper still remains... let's see how long it lasts, it's a cool knife.

The medium jack is one I picked in round one, it kinda snuck up on me. It's like a larger peanut. Nice selection on the knives. 👍

I almost snagged the horse trapper but decided two for the box was enough this time around.
 
Come on everyone. Add your name to the list for the next round of the Case Pass Around Box!

I spent some time last night dying the Copperlock, making it mine. Here it is at home, with the other additions, in my Case collection. I'm going to need a new drawer if I add any more.

I'd be curious to see a few more photos closer up of the copperlock post dying. That's the one I originally added to the pass around box.

Thanks for adding it to the box! I'm gonna enjoy putting it to use. I wanted a little deeper blue and to smooth out the streaks and brown areas. I like it much better now, but I realize this is all just personal preference. The pile side didn't absorb the dye quite as well as the mark side. Not sure which one I like better.

That looks great! I have a copperhead that I almost added to the box because I dislike the mismatch coloring of it so bad, but I didn't want to curse anyone else with it. 🤣
Maybe I'll have to give that a try.

Who else wants to get in on this round? I'll draw a name and mail the box this week, but lets get some more names first.
