OK, it's KA-BAR - big shiny black box, new (but old like me)
Let see my KA-BAR long lost treasure :

thanks for sharing!
i can never understand why gerber
used the lmf name
on a knife which didn't resenble
the original lmf

and then when they did bring it back
it was renamed ...???!

some trivia, also the blade of original lmf
was utilized on another vintage model..

Don't know - trademarks, copyrights, new greedy owners etc etc
LMF and BMF were huge names

Anyway original LMF is 5.5" blade and total 10.5"
And Made in U.S.A.
