I've been meaning to do a GAW for a while but sometimes I tend to procrastinate. This is to return some of the enormous generosity that I have received here. (I'll be doing something for the CRK site soon too.) I'll let this run for a week or two or until interest wanes. I would also like to see some of the habitual passer-uppers on these GAWs to join in this one.

Winner selected! #12 neal70 is the winner!

Rules: 25 posts here on the traditional site OR a BF member since December 2015 (I know there are some lurkers out there). Just post "I am in".

Optional: I repeat, not a requirement. I enjoy photography and am always trying to improve. Post your favorite photo(s) of one one or more of your traditionals - whether it's a professional grade photo or a grainy picture from a crappy-ass old phone.

The knife: Robert Klaas Kissing Crane Congress (Germany). I got this here on the Exchange. Here is the description from the sales thread: Like new, no packaging, with hairline marks visible on the polished blades. Second owner, blades seem completely unused, stag handles, double spring that is flush when opened and closed on all the blades, no rub, factory edges, good snap, negligible to non-existent wobble on all of the blades, slight patina forming on the center brass liner, impeccably tight construction, all blades have long pulls.

Well I might as well take the unlucky second post so I'm in! My favorite pic by no means perfect!

Very nice, you had me at Congress ;) as I've grown quite fond of that style as of late, so I'm in and here's a pic of my oldy John Primble Congress;

Thanks for the chance, it's hard being #2 lol, but stranger things have happened !

edited to add, thanks Daniel for taking that #2 spot, 3 isn't much better but, ya gotta start somewhere :)

Very nice of you. Beautiful knife, thanks for giving us all an opportunity. I like photos as well...

A stag congress with long pulls...I can't resist! Here is a terrible picture of another German congress, a Boker with bone handles that was the North Carolina club knife many years back.

I am in, thank you👍

I just won a giveaway and purchased a Queen Large Congress, so this isn't an entry, but I'll share my favorite photos.

Sweet, I'm in. Looks like it would make a great whittler.

Sorry, I only have phone pics. But here's a couple newer shots.

Here's a ring I made last weekend out of a silver coin (like the coin in pic).

And here's a gratuitous dog shot....with tongue in action. We were sharing some treats.

Add: And in keeping with the Congress theme, here's a "little" Congress I picked up a while back.

Well that is far too beautiful a knife for me to even consider passing up an opportunity. I'm in.

This is my favorite picture I have taken of one of my traditionals.

I am in, as a congress is on my need to get list! No photos, but I have been carrying and using Woodrow F Call's fine GAW knife(a Case large '75 stockman), that I was lucky enough to win! Thanks for the chance , I appreciate it, and good luck to all.
Thanks, Neal

Thanks for the generous giveaway, I gifted a GEC Stag Congress that I'd been given by a member here on BFC, I wasn't carryin' it as much as I thought I would so I did the best thing, I payed it forward by giving to a friend here who was just gettin' into traditionals. It was the right thing to do because it encouraged him to to reexamine the traditional patterns and he's since come over to the dark side, (although I think the cookies had something to do with it ;) ) he also carry's a traditional in his pocket most days.

Since then I've been looking for a thinner framed Congress to try the pattern again and just by happenstance I came across this post and it rekindled the desire to try again, I have a Half Congress and a Congress Jack and appreciate the opportunity to win the KK Congress you're givin' away. Oh and any opportunity I have to share some of my pics is always a plus in my book. :)

Neat knife. I'm in. I don't take a lot of good photos, but I have a few I'm partial to.

That is just a cell phone pic, so nothing special for around here.

That is a great looking knife! I'm in! Here is a pic of a knife that means a lot to me due to my love of my dogs.

Oh geeze. I'm really particular about multiblade traditionals and stag handles and it's rare for me to find ones I like but this one is speaking to me. I don't usually enter GAWs, but I'd like to enter this one.

I'm not a good photographer, but I kinda like this one with the dark wood against the red flowered fabric.

Thank you for the chance to enter. Good luck to everyone!

I'm in! Thanks for doing this. :) I've been long watching this forum to demystify traditional knives for me - the patterns, history, makers, quality tiers, etc. Aside from a Case sodbuster jr that proved all wrong for me, I don't own any of the usual traditional knives.

So, forgive the quick unedited snapshot from my iPhone 6s in less-than-ideal light, but here is my current carry. The Benchmade 940-2 is a recent grail acquisition, I love it dearly, and won't spend more time in this forum on it. Last week, I picked up an Opinel No. 6 to pair with it, and that's PERFECT for me. I previously had a No. 8, which was an amazing slicer, comfortable, zero issues, and sentimentally French. My problem was that it was too large in the pocket for me so it never got carry time. I gifted it to a friend who saw mine and commented that he really needed to find one to try out, much to his delight. So, after a few months without an Opinel, I'm back to having one and feel complete. The smaller size is perfect for me, and the pairing with the Benchmade covers both my larger and smaller knife desires.

EDIT: Fixed Imgur tag, hopefully.
EDIT: For real, this time.
