You don't see long pulls on Hawkbills very often. I have a display of harvesting/agricultural knives in my dining room, 25-30 knives, and this is the only one with a long pull. It is an Empire, 1856-1930. Started by Sheffield cutlers, I think you can see that Sheffield influence on the blade proportions, so it could be an early one. Its snap is almost vicious

When I first got the knife, I thought the pull was crooked, but it is parallel to the top of the blade. The swedge clashes with it a bit, visually. Maybe that it why most of the pulls on hawks are common, as opposed to long!!??
