Long term ownership of Raja2

If you can carry it comfortably, more power to ya. Not my ideal EDC type blade, but if you're wondering if it will hold up to use, absolutely. I'd favor the XL espada series over the Rajah just in terms of blade shape, as I see the Rajah as just a weapon, with not much utilitarian purpose.

I'm not a long term owner, but I got one about 1-2 months back. It is a well made knife for the money, but just too big to carry other than when out hiking or out doing yard work.

I added one to my collection for the unusualness of the design - at the price they charge I could afford to have it just to fool around with.

Too much of the knife sticks out of the pocket to edc it in my opinion (about
2 1/4"). It's also a heavy knife.

The design and blade shape renders it somewhat useless for some regular every day tasks, as you would almost be forced to carry a second knife to use for these cutting chores, and also to use in public.

I rotate a couple of knives, an old Buck 3" folder, Kershaw OD-1, and a Kershaw Cyclone. I would line to add something bigger to the rotation. I've also considered the Voyager and Espada; Any opinions on those?

What kind of blade are you looking for, how will you use it?

Larger blade to add to daily edc rotation. This is general use, not cutting down trees or skinning animals.:D I usually carry a second small 2" or less folder.
Depending on dress and activities that day.

Any other large easy to carry in jeans/cargo pants folder?

I've also only had mine for a few months and I'll say right now that I love it. I see it as an option for reasonable lighter outdoor use as opposed to strapping on a FB at times. If you haven't handled one, realise that this thing is REALLY big. It takes up most of the lower pocket in my 2XL sized vest when closed. I didn't care for pants pocket carry, but the vest works for me.

Thanks for your input and pictures, they do help in putting the size in perspective. I might wait 'till the next knife show, a lot of knives on the net get chopped of the list real quick in person. Thanks again. :)
