Hi everyone,
I was wondering about the long term performance and robustness of the Fallkniven U2. How has the lock hold up, and how hard was it used to reach said condition? Does the Zytel handle hold up well, and how much play has developed? The star screw seems to imply that it can be tightened, has anyone done this?

From my internet searches, I could found one post saying some blade play does develop.

The new one I bought seems tight enough. Some lateral flex (I guess you can't call it lateral play) can be seen, but I attribute it to the flexing of the plastic handle at the region above the pivot at the blade base and lack of metal lining.

Thanks for any comments! :)

I've carried mine for almost two years now, and it's pretty much as you describe. The lock is solid, but there is some side to side play if you wiggle it with some pressure. I can eliminate the play if I tighten the pivot enough, but then it's a pain to open.

It hasn't been used hard at all, it's my pocket scalpel. I thinned the blade to 1/32" with a full convex grind, and use a 30 degree micro-bevel (inclusive).
