I've been around here for a long time and finally caved and set up an account. My wife says i need a hobby. Anyway I love looking at the pictures of everyones beautiful traditional knives so here is one of my handywork. This is a victorinox recruit that I re-covered with basswood treated with boiled lindseed oil. I it's a nice take on the basic scout pattern.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Here are some pics of the knife in the making. I made an identical one for my father for christmas. I love the pattern. It's a nice basic sak with all of the essentials. I also find the the 84mm size hits a great pocketable sweet spot.

2 posts & both include pictures! Your going to fit in just fine. Welcome to the forums & the start of your new addiction. I mean hobby. :)
