I just got one of the Longbow micra's and I am very impressed. I ended up selling my Surefire E1E with a KL1 head when I got the Longbow. The only thing I thought was better on the surefire was it had a rougher handle so it would not be as slippery when it was wet as the Longbow would be. Both very nice flashlights, but with brand new batteries in each light the longbow seemed to be brighter. Any opinions?

I'm still waiting for my longbow from newgraham. Lost it in post.
The great thing about it is it's more pocketable than my L4. I think i'm gonna stick it on my keychain.

Sorry to disapoint but Lonbow is an Asian light. The Us distributer is in AZ. That said it's a great light and I love mine.

I love my Longbow Micra (twisty). In fact, I got a second one as a backup. It's displaced my Surefire E1/KL1, Arc LSL-S, and Arc 4+ for EDC duty!

Well, at least it say's "Longbow Arizona" on the lanyard. I will pretend it was made in Arizona (born and raised there).

Thanks, Steve

I happened upon a decent deal on a Nuwai Quantum III, which is similar in size and structure but with a Lux3. It'll be here by the end of the week, I hope, and I'll update ya'll when I get it.

Could someone post a picture or give me a web address so I know what the heck a Longbow Micra is!

I've got a black Longbow Micra w/twistie tailcap that I've added a UCL and S017XA reflector to. Great color, beautiful beam, good brightness. I'm 100% satisfied.

I got to check out the Nuwai QIII Sunday night, and compare it to a couple of my flashlights. My friend (Robocop on CPF) had already compared it to several of his.
I don't like the lack of momentary on, but as clickies go, the switch was pretty nice. Not something that will accidentally come on in your pocket, but not too hard to push, firm and positive in operation. I don't care for the clip, either.
On the business end, it's all joy joy, though:)
Brighter, and better beam than Arc LSH, LSH-P, similar beam but brighter than my modded Longbow Micra. Comparable to our LIII mods getting ~700mA (a Litfuse modded Arc LS with TX1J/reflector, and my KL1 that Chop boosted, and that I added a reflector and SWOK to). I would say it's between the two, better than my KL1, particularly the color.
I prefer my Longbow, which is shorter, simpler, and maybe a little better build quality, so I won't be buying a QIII, but the Nuwai is a very impressive light for $38.50, about half what I've got in my Micra+lens/reflector.

Hmm, too bad you posted Imago's web site. He's got a reputation on CPF for being a sleaze. :(

I had no idea. I just did a quick search and that's what came up. I removed the link. (Sorry Charlie!)

Hard to help sometimes when ya don't know the history....

I think you should put the link back up, the review wasn't that bad, and even if he's got a sleazy reputation it's not like you put up a link to buy from him, just a page to see his viewpoint on a flashlight. .

Two more pics, one with size comparison to SF G2.
The micra is a great light, I pimped it up with UCL lens and SO17blablabla reflector, now it has good throw and nice sidespill. The fit and finish is superp, very nice HA finish. Nice clickie and good grip options, both combat and normal. Would be nice if it had a pocket clip, the titanium one from bugoutgear is a bit expensive and I heard its also not very well made.

Great pics, Crashlander!

The pocket clip from Bugoutgear is well-made and comfortable, but it just doesn't work very well. There's only one screw attaching it to the flashlight and there's no indentation to keep the clip in place, so it frequently comes unscrewed after a short while. Also, the "ribs" on the body of the light make it hard to clip it into your pocket.

I took some comparison pics last night at my friend's house, so I'll throw a couple up, too.

oops, I was actually taking pics of the Nuwai QIII, so that is the centerpiece in both pics.
CMG Ultra G, LB Micra, QIII, Arc LS w/clickie, AAA, LS w/twistie
Inova X5 and X1, QIII, Surefire L4, Pelican M6 LED
