Longer than before

Now that I am spending more time forging knives, I keep wanting to forge one bigger. This is my biggest so far (longest anyways) It is forged from 1095 and is 9" tip to handle. I know, I know... far short of those 12 inch monsters some of you guys make, but this is about the maximum size I can heat treat with my setup. I think it will eat up most of my leather making a sheath for it, and my poor stitching fingers will be begging for mercy.

(handle is Arizona ironwood, by the way)

Man, that's a beauty!!!!! Very nice job with that hamon.....:cool:
 
That's a nice blade and an overall great looking knife.

That knife is to me the nicest of yours that I have seen. It has a great shape and a wonderful hamon.

I agree wholeheartedly! Love the lines of it, the grind compliments it well, and the overall handle shape is great, and transitions to the blade smoothly. Awesome!
