What's the longest you've ever waited on a knife--from order date to delivery date?

As you might surmise, I am thinking about sending in a deposit on a Randall.

Well, I'm going on four weeks now waiting for my Howling Rat...for me, that's the longest.

I have one on order right now, in June it will be 2.5 years.
Now, that's what I'm talking about!

Patience grasshopper. :D

Can anyone top 2.5?

Well I've been PROMISED an auto in the next two weeks from a well known maker that was supposed to be my Christmas present to myself in 2003! But I'll be thrilled since I KNOW what I'm going to get, and it will be at a GREAT price considering the same knife sells for double these days!:D Since I placed the order in June of '03, yeah I got that beat!

I ordered a Lochsa, and there is a 2 year wait. I would wait 5 for this knife!!! I just ordered it in January of this year.

I know some still waiting on a Randall knife going up towards four years now.

At the Chicago custom show this year they said Ernest Emerson was finishing up custom orders from '94. I know there are guys on the forums that have posted they placed orders 8+ years back. I would say that has to be up there with the very longest wait times out there.

Wow.

Double wow.

I ordered a Chimera from Trace Rinaldi on Jan 27th 2003. More than three years and I’m still waiting!

The two Randall's I ordered early in 2005 are supposed to be ready the spring of 2009. I'm a patient man.

On a few, it's been around 6 to 8 weeks for me. It's hitting the better part of 6 weeks on a Delica 4 and Endura 4 from a local dealer. He missed ordering them on his last order, so I ordered a Delica 4 and Centofante 4 online to "get me by":D Yes, I'm still going to buy them when they show up. I think I waited at least 8 weeks on my Griptillian when it was back ordered by an online vendor. Heading to Edmonton today for a an 8-ball tournament, and planning to do a little "snooping" if time permits:) Kinda looking for a Swiss tool of some sort......and if I "bump" into another Delica 4, maybe an SE one:)

I decided to buy myself a custom for my birthday from a maker that belongs to this site, and he told me it would be about 6 months. If I have to wait longer, it will still be worth it.

I've only bought 5 hand-made knives - 2 of them were from A.G. Russell so they came pretty quick. The longest wait so far was supposed to be 5 months for a Gene Ingram, but even at that, he had it ready 2 or 3 weeks early. :)

I waited about 2 months and 3 weeks for my Camp Tramp to come home.
Im on one month and one week and two days wait for my Howler as of today

I'll just wait for you guys to turn those customs around once you get them, then I'll just have to wait a couple of days for them.

I thought waiting half a year for a Seb Woodie was pretty long,
but then, I'd actually had to pay up in advance.
