For a custom or customized knife.

Getting near a year and half for a DDR 4" Maxx. A year and a quarter for a Ti tanto from Reese.

I've never had a custom knife take me as long as the 4 month order from CampSmarter that was supposed to ship within one week of ordering... as much as I love cheap Condors, I'm never dealing with that headache again...

My longest (so far) was a 9" swing guard switchblade from Burn that was exactly on time... $100 per month for 9 months.

Apart from the customary 4 years for Randalls, I am still waiting for a Halfrich lockback I ordered last year, if I am lucky I will get it in 2012.
Otherwise, 6 to 12 months for a custom from a renowned maker is kind of normal.

I don't know how you guys have the patience.

I only buy production knives but I like US-made knives, and I climb the walls and bite my nails off while I wait just a week or two for them to get to me in the UK!

the first weeks of the first order are pretty difficult. then you just put it in a corner of your head and think about it every once in a while. i'm currently waiting for a forum knife. i think it's been more than a year.
