Morning all,

i registered my account on here over two years ago and then spend the majority of the time since then under the ocean. Back now for good and looking forward to being an active member on the forums. My collection so far is mostly Spyderco and Benchmade folders, but eventually I will branch out into other areas.

Welcome to the forums ... I will assume if you were "under the ocean" that you probably served in the Navy? ... if so thank you for your service ...

Welcome back Navy man. My nephew was in subs but didn't like it. He switched to being an instructor and has now left the Navy. He's an engineer.

Welcome back to land. I spent a few years paddling around under the Pacific, a long time ago. It isn't for everyone.

Yes, career submariner now on my twilight tour before transitioning to the civilian side in a few years. I agree that it is not for everyone but it gave me opportunities in life that I never thought were possible before joining.

Welcome to BFs! Thank you for your service. I'm guessing at 6'7" I wouldn't do too well on a sub?

We had a Missile Tech about that tall on my boat. He had to curl up in his bunk since he was longer than it was. He had to do a lot of ducking as well, but then so did I, and I was a foot shorter.

Had a guy on my first boat that was 6'5" when he showed up. Left the boat 4 years later 6'2" and had a hump on his back. He couldn't stand up fully in just about any space on the boat.
