WorkChamp XL Kix Azz and is worth evry penny !!!

I have a workchamp (nonXL), and I like it a lot (it's 6 layers). How many layers is the WC XL, and what sheath do you use, if any?

Do you ever use the additional features (that the regular WC doesn't have)?
(fine flat driver,
shackle opener with marlin spike,
hoof cleaner,
yatagan blade,
multi-purpose blade,
belt cutter,
gutting blade)

I have only recently got mine and am very impressed !! :D

The WorkChamp XL is quite a bit heftier than the standard WorkChamp at about 41mm thick - it took a few days to get used to the extra weight/size when using it but think it is the ideal shape for my hand now :)

The extra blades are very useful but there was little I couldn't do with my normal WorkChamp that I can now do with the XL... though the extra size of the tool does give more confidence when needing extra force on a job !

I use the "belt cutter type" blade most out of all the extra features and the others, hoof cleaner etc have come in handy but not for their original purpose !

Personally I think it's way to big and heavy for EDC use but is the perfect tool to keep in your desk for the odd jobs around the house and for throwing into the tackle box when going fishing

Overall I reckon the bigger Locking Blade line by Victorinox are far more useful as an actual practical and functional tool than than the much more famous smaller ranges ....

Wow, the regular WC is 27mm thick.

The locking blade is great, it's a real shame that the smaller vic's don't have a locking blade. But it's also nice to have the sturdier other implements on the WC, everything is a tad thicker and the springs are stronger.

Ive been eyeballing that one for quite a while. I have a SwissChamp XLT, and a standard Swisschamp. The XXLT is pretty nice, and if I remember right, outside of the US it is available with a lighter in the center .
