Excellent find. Thanks for the link. I always enjoy seeing these ancient designs. They make me wonder if they are cultural universals discovered from utility or if they are imported ideas.

The design may have spread from the Greeks and Macedonians in both directions. But the Celts themselves were the most widespread peoples of Europe, ranging from Asia Minor to Iberia. They had good art and technology and could just as well have been the originators, even long before these particular items.
 
Impressive. It would be neat to figure out if they descended along the same lines as the khukuri or if they were developed independently. The website identifies them as daggers, which I thought was primarily a designation for stabbing knives.
