Just thought I'd share a pic of my single-bladed folders that come sans pocket-clip...

I hate not having a clip... Never have a problem with it in my hand.

Goes great on the belt.

Nice knives though.

I currently carry 4 different knives that dont have pocket knives. all traditionals.

Only knives I carry without a clip are fixed blades. I own a few, I just don't have the time on the job to fish it out of my deep pockets every time I need to cut something.

I agree that clipped one-handers can be very quick and convenient for work, but on regular ol' days I don't mind a bit o' 'pocket-fishing' so I can open up an occasional package/box/carton/whatever. From time to time, it's nice to give my pockets a break from the usual clip wear-and-tear... most of my pants look like a rabid ferret has gone to town on 'em...
